On December 15, 2010, Jacqueline Millevoi sent an E-Mail to the Hackensack Veterans website requesting that her dad, Michael P. Aletta, a 1938 Hackensack High School Graduate, name be added to our World War II veterans list.

She also requested that her cousin, Anthony Gadino, a
1963 Hackensack High School graduate, be added to the Vietnam list.
  
      About a month later on January 20, 2011, Jacqueline Millevoi returned a form to us with this general information on her dad, Michael P. Aletta’s service:

He entered the Army on October 16, 1942 and served until
November 21, 1945.  In her E-Mail she stated he was stationed by the Panama Canal. 

Michael P. Aletta served with Co. A 150 Infantry and was a Private First Class. 
Michael P. Aletta received the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal
Good Conduct Medal
, and World War II Victory Medal.
 

          Click here to view The Record obituary article dated September 15, 2011 telling of Michael P. Aletta coming to America with his family at the age of 3 years and
settling in Hackensack. 

The obituary article also states Michael P. Aletta served in the Army with the 150 infantry from 1942 to 1945 when he was honorably discharged.
